What’s on my iPhone

Every so often, someone will ask me about my favorite iPhone apps, which is a random question, but I am always happy to answer! I don’t particularly play games on my phone, but I have purchased several other types of apps. Besides stating the obvious– Snapchat, Instagram, Yelp, and Waze, I’ve listed a handful of other applications that I have on my phone right now featuring everything from photo editing to online shopping. Enjoy! xx

1) Bands in Town

Bands in Town is a free app available on Facebook, iOS devices, and Android devices that helps you discover live concerts that are happening near you. The app lets fans follow their favorite artists and receive notifications when they are playing in the area. However, even if a particular artist you follow is not near you, the app may recommend similar bands or artists that you may enjoy who are in town.

2) Keep

This is by far the best app if you are in desperate need of a last-minute gift or just feel like having an online shopping spree. Through Keep, users can browse the app’s curated products or explore everything on the internet, adding any product from any store to the same cart. It’s incredibly convenient – but it’s addictive!

3) VSCO

I normally don’t edit the pictures I take on my iPhone, but if I ever want to adjust the lighting, contrast, or texture of a picture, VSCO is my go-to app. Unlike most other photography apps where the filters are often too harsh or obvious, VSCO’s selection of filters is fantastic. Many of the filters feature a soft, faded look that has become highly popular on social media.

4) Zara

Zara is one of my all-time favorite brands, and their app is incredibly user-friendly. I no longer go on Zara’s actual website to purchase clothes online; I use their app instead.

5) Duolingo

Over 70 million people have registered with Duolingo, a free and useful language learning app. Even though it does not serve as a replacement for actual language courses, the app is a super fun way to get to know the basics of another language before a trip abroad. You also gain “experience points” along the way.
